1st Australian Engineers Base Store Depot, Rocklea

The 1st Australian Engineers Base Stores Depot was located on the western side of the current Beaudesert Road. The site existed as a combination depot, workshop and military accommodation facility. A camp site, workshops, and a spare parts area were located west of Fairfield Road, between Sherwood Road and Medway Street. A dump area, behind the Rocklea Hotel, and a 'timber and ME' area (opposite the Rocklea show grounds) were located west of Fairfield Road to the south of Medway Street.
