This workshop was built in Moorooka by the DAP for the overhaul of aircraft engines. It was listed within the DAP as 'Servicing of Aircraft Serial No. 1172.' A later Australian National Airways (ANA) workshop (No. 1179) was built on the corner of Hamilton Road and Anson Street, while the Qantas Empire Airways workshop (No. 1176) was located between Dinmore Street and Hamilton Road.
