The RAAF built an Engine Overhaul Workshop on this site during the war, to overhaul aircraft engines following a designated number of flying hours of operation. The site consisted of seven large vaulted warehouse portions, that housed workshops, storage areas and machinery bays.

The site was demolished as late as 2006 and made way for a residential development project. Utilised by a number of businesses, the main tenant of the war era was Australian National Airways Pty Ltd.
