Vietnam War

The 9th Battalion Royal Australian Regiment (9 RAR) was raised in November 1967 in Adelaide and deployed to the Vietnam War in November 1968. &nbsp;They were based at Nui Dat in Phuoc Tuy province where they took part in several key military campaigns, including Operation Goodwood. The 9 RAR remained in South Vietnam until 28 November 1969 when it was relieved by 8 RAR and returned to Australia.
