Description

Situated outside the Bulimba Library, the war memorial carries the words of a poem written by Colonel John McCrae in 1915, referring to the red poppies of Flanders Fields in Belgium, now used extensively on Anzac Day wreaths and, in particular, on Remembrance Day.An 'Australia Remembers' plaque was added in 1995.
