Memorial information

Description

Unusual Digger memorial uniform with cap, 6 ammunition pouches on back, and side haversack. Rolls of Honour list on side, front and rear panels. Three New plaques were added 25 April 1993: 1939–1945 war; Korea, Malaya, Borneo & Vietnam; and in memory of airmen killed near Biggenden after being lost in storms following return from submarine hunts off the Fraser Coast.

Plaque added to memorial 25 April 1993:
A tribute to Pilot: Sgt Hodges, J G; Crew: Sgts Kilpatarick S L and Clark T B killed when Mk 1 Avro Anson W1608 of No 7 (Res) Sqn RAAF Bundaberg crashed near Biggenden when returning from an operational flight over the Pacific on 5.6.1942. Erected by Ray Cook and Walter White
