Description

Five vertical granite rocks with horizontal carved lines stand behind a large boulder which has a stainless steel plaque attached. This and additional boulders are within a circle of river stone.This circle is within a larger circle of crushed granite. Ten hoop pines form the outer circle.

This memorial erected in the year of the 50th Anniversary of the conclusion of World War II honours the sons and daughters of Australia who served our country during the 1st and 2nd World Wars.

It is dedicated to those men and women who gave their lives for their country. It is not in honour of war but in honour of the human sacrifices occassioned by war. Let their supreme sacrifice and valour forever remind us of the heavy price paid by those Australians and allies in crushing the tyrannies of the time.
