Brass plaque mounted on northern wall of The Great Hall. Lavarack's name is displayed in red. All other text is black. Commemorating a military leader, a political figure and a Queenslander.

Inscription

In memory of John Dudley Lavarack, Lieut. General. K.C.M.G.,K.C.V.O., K.B.E., C.B., D.S.O. The first Queensland born governor of this state. He was educated at this school. See photograph for rest of inscription.
