Description

Obelisk with crossed rifles is atop a stepped base. The name Cambooya is in relief on the side of the monument. A small fence protects the memorial. Honour Roll lists the names of 14 soldiers who did not return. Included are the names of three Hogarth brothers whose names are also on the Greenmount, Pittsworth and Toowoomba Rolls of Honour, and whose mother donated magnificent memorial windows in St Andrews Anglican Church, Pittsworth, in their honour. A further 63 names are listed as returned, including a fourth Hogarth brother. One extra name has a K bringing the total killed to 15. One name is marked MM for Military Medal award, and another C de G for the French decoration Croix de Guerre.
