Description
A bottle brush tree (botanical name Callistemon) planted to commemorate the stationing of the 5th Air Force - United States Army Air Corp in Charters Towers from March 1942 to November 1943 during World War II. A cast bronze plaque is mounted to a low concrete block at the front of the tree.
