Description
The Memorial consists of a number of commemorative elements, all displayed in front of the Cooloola Cove Veterans and Community Centre. The three elements of the memorials are:
Memorial Stone - located in the front of the memorial and displays a plaque dedicated to those who served in the Vietnam War.
Memorial Wall - three panel wall, displaying commemorative elements. The front displays a cross, service badges and a bugler. Each element representing the commemoration in war. (refer to rear plaque for descriptions). The irregular pattern and colour of the brickwork at the rear of the wall are intended to represent the conflict in war. The white capping and white doves represent serentity in peace.
The third element is a commemorative flagole to the rear of the memorial.
The memorial is maintained by the Cooloola Coast Vietnam Veterans Association of AustraliaSub Branch.
