Description
A memorial cairn dedicated to the men and women of this isolated region of Queensland, who serve in the defence of Australia. The black marble and stone cairn rests upon a marble plinth, surrounded by a tiled area. There is a small dedication plaque at the base of the cairn.
Inscription
"LEST WE FORGET"
Plaque at the base of the monument displays:
This monument was erected by the local community/ TO HONOUR ALL THE MEN & WOMEN WHO SERVE AUSTRALIA AND DEFEND ITS FREEDOM/ Dedicated this 24th day of April, 2000
