Description
A white Ulam marble obelisk on stepped base, surrounded by a mesh fence with gate, is set in the centre of the road opposite the shopping centre.
Inscription
For God, King and Country.
Main plaque carries 22 names, presumably of fallen soldiers.
Lower plaque carries 4 names, Killed on Active Service 1939–1945 War.
Lower plaque on front reads: Erected in Honor of the men who enlisted from Goodna and District in the Great War 1914-1919. (Note: Honor, not Honour)
A total of 124 names are included on the three marble panels in honour of the servicemen from Goodna as well as a few from Redbank Plains, Darra and Redbank.
