Description
An obelisk on a stepped base, set on a circular concrete base with concrete obelisks and a chain fence protecting the memorial from traffic. The whole memorial is painted white.
Inscription
Plaques read: The Great War 1914–1918 Lest we forget; They died that we might live; Their names liveth for ever (note the plural); In memory of those who gave their lives.
On the adjacent flagpole is the inscription: To the memory of the fallen of the 1939–1945 and Korean Wars. Presented to The Lower Herbert District by the Herbert River Sub-Branch RSSAILA. Centenary Year 1959.
