Arc of obliquely sawn wooden posts, bearing plaques for each conflict since the Sudan War (1885).
Inscription
Inscriptions refer to various wars. Main inscription reads:
IN MEMORY /
Australians have helped to fight for /
the freedom of many nations around /
the world for over a hundred years. /
The service and sacrifice by Australian /
men and women has resulted in an /
ethos of freedom in our country /
that is the envy of the world. /
This monument is in honor of their /
service, which has become our heritage. /
