Memorial information

Description

A single white honour stone was unveiled in September 1919 dedicated to those who served in World War I, with a flagpole erected nearby. In November 1995 a similar honour stone was erected dedicated to those who served in World War II. A rosemary bush has been planted between the two memorials as a symbol of remembrance.

Inscription

WWI Memorial reads:
FOR KING AND COUNTRY
THIS FLAGSTAFF WAS ERECTED IN HONOUR OF THOSE LOCAL SOLDIERS WHO SERVED IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919
ERECTED SEPT. 1919

WWII Memorial reads: IN HONOUR OF THOSE WHO SERVED THEIR COUTNRY. MANY PAID THE SUPREME SACRIFICE. THEIR NAMES LIVE FOREVERMORE.
