Description

The life-sized digger stands atop the memorial with eyes down and arms reversed. The memorial has been painted. Set on a stepped base, the memorial has a wider base of brown concrete, and is surrounded by rose gardens set into a star pattern in a large public park. A flagpole stands behind the memorial, and shrubs mark the footpath limits. The memorial carries three marble plaques.
