Millstream Falls Memorial Tablet

During Trek Back celebrations a monument was dedicated to the memory of troops stationed in the Millstream National Park area during WWII. Soldiers from the 51st Battalion of Far North Queensland Regiment formed a guard of honour.
During the Second World War 1939–1945 Troops of the 7th Australian Division including the 18th, 21st and 25th Brigades and Troops of the 9th Australian Division including the 20th, 24th and 26th Brigades were encamped in this area which is now the Millstream Falls National park. Evidence of the camp sites can still be seen throughout the National Park.
