Memorial information

Description

Little more than a metre in height, the digger is the smallest on a war memorial in Queensland. The digger has the typical Williams sloping rifle. A wide, sloping base adequately protects the memorial from damage in a school yard. Plaques read: Erected under the supervision of School Committee and Headmaster. District Honour Roll lists 14 names, of whom 3 were killed and 11 returned. Our Brave Boys carved in the memorial above Mount Alford Ex-Pupils lists 16 names, of whom 2 were killed and 14 returned - a total of 30 names, of whom 5 were killed.
