Mount Cotton Tingalpa Shire Roll of Honour

Timber (Silky Oak), four panelled Honour Board with gold lettering. The Board is unique for a number of reasons. Firstly, the main date of completion of the First World War was never finalised. It should be noted that the dates were included in the 'Fighting Ceased' section on the bottom right of the board. Secondly, the names are included in seemingly random order, rather than Alphabetically. This might suggest that the names were inscribed as the individual went away to war. The random nature of the font used on the board would also suggest this. Finally, the date of Peace Signed is included as 28 June 1919.
