Description

A stone memorial positioned outside of the North Ipswich RSL with two metal plaques inserted at the front.

Inscription

The top plaque reads: this tree symbolises the spirit of life. Should it die, another will be replanted, so that life goes on. Some of our comrades who served in Vietnam have lost their life but only in the spirit that others may live.

The bottom plaque reads: This plaque commemorates service in Vietnam, unveiled on 19th August 1984 by Air Comodore J.I. Thomson AM ADC and Patron of the Vietnam Veteran's Association of Australia, Ipswich West Moreton Zone.
