Pinkenba War Memorial

A solid block cairn memorial, supporting a secondary plinth with four corner supports. The base of the structure provides the platform for a dome, topped with an artillery shell, encircled by a laurel wreath. The memorial originally had miniature mounted troopers and soldiers around the top but these have long since disappeared. The memorial is set on a corner with grassed surroundings, and a pipe and chain fence protects it from heavy traffic in an industrial area near the mouth of the Brisbane river.
The memorial displays Honour Roll panels to the men of the Pinkenba District who served, fought and died during the Great War 1914–1918. There are 21 individuals listed, of which 8 made the supreme sacrifice.

The WWII Memorial is a bronze plaque set upon a large basault stone. The memorial lists individuals of the District who served during the war, including 4 who made the supreme sacrifice.
