Memorial information
Description
Miniature Digger statue atop the structure.
Set under a canopy supported by 3 pillars, the triangular memorial has 3 sets of names. The front plaque reads: In loving recognition of the bravery of our gallant boys during the Great War 1914-1919, and lists 8 names carved directly on to the memorial. Also carved into the memorial are the words: Made the Supreme Sacrifice, and under that is a plaque reading: Paid Supreme Sacrifice with 3 columns - 1914-1919, 8 names (same as above); 1939–1945, 7 names, and Vietnam, 2 names.
The second side of the triangle reads: On Active Service, with 11 names carved into the memorial and a plaque underneath reading: After Hostilities Ceased - 1914-1919, 14 names; 1939–1945, 7 names.
The third side of the triangle reads: On Active Service, with 10 names carved into the memorial.
