Ravenshoe/Millstream 7th and 9th Division Memorial Markers

Ravenshoe became a key training centre in World War II and all over the district there are wooden memorial sign markers placed showing the location of various Divisions and units which trained there: eg 9 Aust Div, 2nd AIF - 2/28; 2/32; 2/43 Bns 24 Bde. 7 Aust Div 2nd AIF, - 2/14; 2/16; 2/27 Bns 21 Bde.
9 Div 2nd AIF - 2/3 Pioneer Bn; 7 Div 2nd AIF, 2/2 Pioneer Bn.
9 Div 2nd AIF - 2/2 Mg Bn Machine gunners; AASC Aust Army Service Group.
9 Aust Div 26 Bde - 2/23, /24, 2/48 Bns 26 Bde. 7 Div 25 Bde 2nd AIF - 2/25; 2/31 Bns 25 Bde.
Many fireplaces of former World War II training camps are also preserved and signposted.
