Description
The Special Air Service Regiment (SASR) is a special force unit of the Australian Army formed in 1957. It undertakes difficult small-team operations involving high-level, precise military skills, often in remote areas with limited tactical support. The SASR has been involved in operations in Borneo, Vietnam, Somalia, Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as many peacekeeping missions.
