Description
Memorial plinth supporting a fountain dedicated to past students of Springsure State School who served in WWI.
The memorial is set inside the main gate of the school, next to the tennis courts and displays Honour Rolls listing respective students.
Inscription
The plaque reads:
ERECTED IN HONOUR OF
PAST SCHOLARS
WHO ENLISTED IN THE
GREAT WAR
1914-1919
(79 names are listed on the other sides of the square base. The names are unusual because full or abbreviated Christian names are listed, rather than the usual initials. Refer to additional images)
