Memorial information
Description
The memorial features a carved, broken column, with ivy leaves draped around it. There is elaborate carving around the base of the column, and the whole is set on a stepped base, on a large slightly sloped slab. The surrounds of the memorial have recently been refurbished (refer to additional images.)
Inscription
The main plaque reads: Killed in action in France and lists 13 names.
Below that 1914–1918 is engraved into the marble.
The next plaque reads: This stone is erected by the residents of Tinana to the honour and glory of those who fought in the Great War.
The lower plaque reads: 1939–1945. Killed on active service, and lists 3 names.
