Memorial information
Description
The tall, fluted column with dome on top stands on a hill in Memorial Park. It has a stepped base, curved in the front, and is surrounded by a chain fence supported by sandstone pillars. On the front of the memorial is a symbolic horse drinking trough below the words, 'To our brave men who fell in the Great War 1914-1919'. On either side above the trough are two carved, draped circles. Three marble plaques on the sides of the memorial list 101 names, including 1 awarded the Military Cross and 3 awarded the Military Medal.
