Description

Large concrete piers, painted white, support recessed covered Honour Boards to the left and right behind the gates. The staff car park is just inside the gates, and a flagpole is located nearby.

Inscription

Honour Boards bear the inscription: Soldiers Memorial Gate of Honour. Their name liveth for ever 1914-1919 is set onto the top and sides of the gate piers.

Two large Honour Rolls Townsville West State School list 206 names, including 14 K (Killed), 1 P (Prisoner), 3 G (Gassed or Gallipoli), 4 D (Died) and 31 W (Wounded).
