Memorial information
Description
Memorial Obelisk, within the Thursday Island Cemetery boundary, that commemorates the individuals who died whilst in service of the Thursday Island Garrison. The Roll of Honour lists 8 men, with the first commemoration occuring on 1 November 1884. The obelisk is carved and along with the pedestals, displays twin draped flags, an artillery gun, and scroll.
