Memorial information

Description

Large stone memorial with three metal plaques inserted. Resting on a concrete platform. Memorial honours those who served for the British Empire including Lighthorse service personnel. On 20 June 1981 the Rock of Remembrance was registered as a Foundation Member of the Australian Stockmans Hall of Fame and Outback Heritage Centre, Longreach.

Inscription

1st Plaque reads:

In Remembrance of the Men and Women of the Windorah and District who served the British Empire on Active Service.

World War II - 1939 - 1945 (names listed below)
