Description
The sandstone obelisk on a stepped base is surrounded by a pipe fence, and stands outside a community hall next to playing fields. A rising sun badge is carved into the centre marble plaque
Inscription
This memorial is erected in honour of all men from the Woodhill district who answered their countrys call in her hour of need. 1914–1918. 1939–1945. The lower front plaque reads: Greater love hath no man than that he lay down his life for his fellow men. Name plaques around the memorial list 57 1914–1918 names, and 44 1939–1945 names, including 2 1939–1945 names noted as Killed - Kld.
