Memorial information
Description
This draped obelisk with crossed rifles is set on a typical 'Petrie' base and constructed out of Helidon sandstone on a granite base, and topped with a sandstone shroud. Crossed rifles carved out of sandstone are mounted above the main World War I face. The lettering is lead on marble tablets. The memorial stands in in the southwest corner of the park.
Inscription
Centre plaque reads: In memory of the men of Yandina and district who laid down their lives serving their King and Country during the Great War 1914-1919. Their name liveth forevermore.
Side plaque reads: In Memory of men who fell in World War II, 1939–1945, and lists 15 names.
Two other side plaques list 19 names.
