Memorial information

Description

The timber obelisk monument, located in a small grassed park with garden beds and paved areas, is a tapered, four sided shaft of local Crow’s Ash (Flindersia Australis), standing on a concrete base and covered with a tiled roof.

Brass plaques showing the names of those from the Yarraman District who served their nation are attached on each side of the obelisk.

Australian Imperial Force, Royal Australian Navy, Royal Australian Air Force and Australian Flag badges are also attached on each side of the obelisk.

To the east of the obelisk is a flagpole, and a shelter shed over a picnic table.
