Memorial information

Description

Domed mausoleum with four marble interior plaques supported by a central pedestal. The plaques commemorated 97 individuals from the Yeronga district, formally known as the Stephens Shire, who made the supreme sacrifice during the First World War. There is an additional dedication plaque on the eastern face of the central pedestal. The memorial is enclosed by green painted wrought iron gates and surrounded by a paved pathway and landscaping. There are lamps inserted into the apex of the dome, signifying a stylised eternal flame of remembrance.
