Teachers and students are invited to explore Anzac Square Memorial Galleries following the annual Anzac Commemoration School Service.

The 2025 Anzac Commemoration School Service is open to all schools in South East Queensland and is a wonderful opportunity for students to pay their respects to Australian defence personnel who have served our nation from World War I to present. It aims to enhance understanding amongst school students of the Anzac Spirit and the relevance of this spirit to the development of our nation. The ceremony is usually attended by more than 3,000 students along with official guests including the Governor of Queensland, the Premier of Queensland, the Leader of the Opposition, the Lord Mayor of Brisbane, senior military personnel and community leaders.

More information about the service can be found here.

Following the service, schools can continue their commemorations on an interactive journey from World War I to today inside Anzac Square Memorial Galleries. Within the galleries, students and teachers can delve into military collections and discover the people, places and stories that exemplify the Anzac legacy. Staff will be on hand to welcome those wishing to visit the exhibition or place a symbol of remembrance. Entry is through the double brass doors located beneath the Shrine of Remembrance.

The Galleries will be open from 10 am to 4 pm. No bookings required.
