- Varying times, Gunfire breakfast
A long-held Anzac Day tradition, the gunfire breakfast originates from rum-laced tea or coffee partaken by British, Australian, and New Zealand troops on the eve of battle. Today, the tradition may also be accompanied by a cooked breakfast. Usually held shortly before or after the Dawn Service at RSL clubs, the breakfast allows veterans and the community to connect, share experiences, and pay tribute to those who served. Find out more
